Rebecca Sarah Black
"Rebecca Sarah Black is a contemporary jewellery designer / maker and bone-smith who is inspired by our constant struggle with identity, the harsh landscape of the coastline and traditional folklore.
She sees the conflict we have with identity and our connection to the landscape naturally reflected in the formation of the jagged rocky coastline, particularly in the east of Scotland. Responding to this visual inspiration, her work combines the carving of bovine bone and the use of precious metals to create statement jewellery with an asymmetrical, complex and emotive form.
All bone material is locally and ethically sourced from a reputable supplier in Dundee."
